About Amber

Amber is a 14 year-old freshman at Bryan Station High School.  On August 1, 2007 she was stricken with a rare neurological disorder of the spine called Transverse Myelitis.  This condition has left Amber paralyzed from the waist down.

Amber is an avid equestrian and enjoys riding horses.  She enjoys participating in equestrian competitions and caring for horses.  Amber also loves to swim, ride rollercoasters, scrapbook and hang out with her friends.

Amber is working hard in physical therapy to try to regain her ability to walk.  She and her family are keeping positive and are looking forward to her appointment at the Transverse Myelitis Center at John Hopkins University.  The doctors at John Hopkins are specialists in her very rare condition.  The Harvest of Hope Benefit is funding Amber's trip to John Hopkins University and the treatment she will receive there.
